I started my career as a journalist in 1999 in Ecuador as a junior reporter on local political affairs. Later I would become editor and head of one of the most relevant TV news programs of the country. I have worked in Ecuador, Spain, Chile, and Germany and reported political events in Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, United States, and Singapore.

The financial crisis changed my career. I started as a business journalist the day of the collapse of Bearn Stearns’ hedge fund in June 2007. Since then, I have worked on analyses of financial and economic issues, mainly for Chilean newspapers and magazines.

Since moving to Germany in 2012, I have worked as a freelance journalist for Chilean and European media. I am the author of El Primer Click, morning newsletter and podcast of Diario Financiero.
